Jessica Aldridge's work examines the themes of the human condition and repulsion through the experience of existing in a female body. Her pastel coloured plaster pieces are an expression of the uncertainty surrounding her own body image, which when translated to physical form serve as an exorcism of the self. The amorphous lumps of plaster embody the transience of the body and the pressures imbued by todays hyper critical social media landscape.
